- Want to keep letting the rich pay less in taxes
- Want to take away universal healthcare
- Want to destroy Medicare as we know it
- Hate unions
- Dress the same
- Are the same
- Good luck with that
When I heard this was happening, I just let out the longest groan.
Worst ticket, ever.
LOL! Half of my dash is like meh and the other half is panicking…
Well, there’s good reason to panic. The Tea Party/Libertarian/etc. folk—all the folk who detest Obama and America—are now guaranteed to turn up at polls, because they LOVE Ryan. And most Democrats are going to be pushed away from polls illegally, so.
YUP. ^ that right there scares me.
If you are not registered to vote, go out and get registered! Get your friends and family registered! Arrange in advance to get yourself and others to the polls on voting day. Or, if you can vote early, do it!
Also, if you are living abroad DO NOT FORGET to register and request an absentee ballot!
It’s super easy here; https://www.votefromabroad.org/
No excuses. Now is the time. You should mail you vote in by the 1st week of October.
1.Obama raised taxes on the middle class and not the upper class. (You’ll start seeing the effects of those around 2014
2.you really have a problem that they’re dressed similar? really? really now? I know plenty of people that dress similar to me.. we’re not in a cult or trying to destroy the US either.
3.The president is not a DICTATOR… be real people.. if people really like this universal healthcare system, and medicare, Romney would have to go through a lot of loop holes and crap to get rid of it. That’s why we have a checks and balance system.
It’s funny how people see everything that Romney “is doing wrong” yet no one sees what Obama is doing wrong. Do you remember all the “Change” promises he made… and how NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN FULFILLED.
Just because of his race and the fact that he (supposedly) supports gay marriage, everyone thinks he’s the best president ever..
No one is looking at the fact that he has put our country into more debt than any other president, or that all of his slogans are the same as communist leaders (I don’t find that to be a coincidence.)
^^^ and on that note.. he also FORCED wikipedia to take down the page about his new “Forward” slogan after they made people aware that his slogan was related with Marxism and Hitler. (violation of amendment #1)Also, can we talk about the concentration camps he’s reopened? That haven’t been used since WWII with the Japanese.
And the fact that you can be imprisoned in them under being a ‘suspected terrorist’ just for owning a lot of guns, or storing up more than a weeks worth of food in your house, and for having missing fingers.
Granite I’m not blaming Obama for all of it.. I’m just saying our government is going into the toilet, and people need to stop worrying about gays being able to marry and whether or not you can whore yourself around and freely get rid of that baby your were to stupid to think ahead about, and start worrying about their lives and the future of their children.
Who honestly wants to live in a government like China’s or North Korea’s anyway?
Whenever I see someone equate a government under Obama to a government like China or North Korea, I facepalm HARD. The US is far from socialist right now, never mind communism. And as for having the link to Marxism or whatever taken down, I’m not totally sure on this, but considering how loaded those kinds of terms are here, they maybe could have had them removed as libel or slander or whatever the hell it’s called. Hey, I mean, maybe they were just taken down because the government didn’t want those associations and such running around. Okay, not the first time. It’s not really a big deal in the end anyways since our government isn’t communist or socialist (as already mentioned).
Concerning his changes not happening, it’s just like you said, this isn’t a dictatorship. If Obama wants to get some new laws or whatever through, then they have to go through the Senate and the House, and that’s where things get mired up. Nobody can do magic. Also, concerning the high unemployment rate (obviously a huge topic), what do you expect him to do? A lot of the world is in financial or struggle right now, and in that kind of environment, getting unemployment down is hard. If there’s no demand, then nobody will get hired, simple as that. Economics aren’t just about one country; they’re about the whole world. I’m not saying more couldn’t have been done, but at the same time, nobody could reasonably expect a miracle like during the Great Depression, when so much money was pumped into building up new infrastructure and all to get people jobs. All the roads and such built as a result of those policies were very much needed at the time, but there’s really no project on that scale that we could conceivably do now. It’s not as if unemployment will magically disappear if Romney gets in office, either.
About illegally detaining and torturing people, the government has been doing that for years, and all that changes is how well-known it is and how people take it, which depends on the fears of the day. Nobody complained when the Bush administration was torturing people post- 9/11, were they? And did anyone complain when he got us into the country’s most expensive war over supposed weapons of mass destruction?
Even though I wrote as if defending Obama, my real point is that by and large, all the presidents are exactly the same in terms of what they promise (a lot), and what they get done of those promises (little). It’s really the Senate and the House that run all of these policies, but I’ll be damned if they ever work together on any damned thing because the days are long gone when the two parties thought, “Hey, we need to get our country running, let’s try to compromise and get things done.” Now, they (and most of Americans) are just concerned with making sure things are done THEIR way, regardless of what the other side thinks, and regardless of whose religion or rights or whatever they trample on in the process. Americans are too self-centered, which means their representatives are self-centered, which means we’re all in the hole, anyways.
Reblogging for the link to absentee voting. Americans in Korea this is for you!
