My long weekend doesn’t start until 9:30 pm tonight because the guy that was supposed to teach our gifted class tonight made vacation plans. I am not hiding the fact that I am annoyed.
It’s the words our fathers whisper into our ears at the departure gate that mean the most.
"Not every child takes instantly to books like a duck to water, but I don’t believe there are children who hate books. There are just children who haven’t yet found the right books for them."
— Amanda Craig, If your child won’t read, find another book, The Telegraph (via prettybooks)
"I’m sorry you were not truly loved and that it made you cruel."
— Warsan Shire (via creatingaquietmind)

"I love walking into a bookstore. It’s like all my friends are sitting on shelves, waving their pages at me."
